American cities where Vietnamese food is most popular
I collected restaurant cuisine labels from OpenStreetMap and did the calculation for the 500 largest cities in America. The top 5 large American cities (over 200,000 in population) with highest estimated percentage of Vietnamese restaurants are all in Texas and California: San Jose, Garland/Richardson, Arlington, Houston, and Chula Vista. There is no surprise here, since these are communities with large Vietnamese populations.
So if you are looking for a city with the best Vietnamese food, consider moving or visiting here. Actually, do not move to Texas. You should only visit.
Note: These numbers are estimations since the classification of restaurants and counting them is not a straightforward task.
