Most expensive American cities to eat out at a restaurant
According to Numbeo’s survey, New York city has the highest restaurant price index. Other cities among the most expensive places to eat out in America are Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles and Honolulu.
The top ten most expensive list includes many West coast cities with five in California and one (Seattle) in Washington. It was surprising to see Boise, Idaho in this list given the low cost of living in the region.
Cities with the lowest restaurant prices are the ones in the South, Mid America and Midwest. El Paso ranks lowest in the list with a score of 49, only half of New York.
